Functional Service Teams A Peachtree functional service alliance will create a dedicated Functional Service team tailored exclusively to your business objectives. The dedicated Peachtree team may handle a single function across several drug programs, a range of functions within a single therapeutic area, or any other combination. This dedicated team will give you consistency and reliability of your own internal resources. For example, we’ll provide a dedicated team of specialists, such as data managers or statistical programmers, to work across several studies. We can even contract for just one specific task, such as database development, across several studies. Our Functional Service teams are typically led Team Leader who is employed by us but has a reporting line to the sponsor. These teams are engaged on a mid- to long-term task-oriented basis and are self-reliant and highly capable. The costs for Functional Service teams are less than full-service models yet allow sponsors to maintain control of the Functional Service team. Our Functional service teams are typically based in our facilities but utilize your IT systems and processes. When necessary, Peachtree can also provide Functional Service teams located at sponsor sites. In order to reduce headcount, our clients have also engaged in “Badge Flip”. Badge Flip allows a sponsor to transfer internal employees to Peachtree employees and then re-deploy them on a Function Service team. In this way, the sponsor maintains full functionality of employees who know your system and culture.
